Largest Solar Power Light Bulb Display

Guinness World Record

3,000 solar lights created by students from Al-Futtaim Education Foundation

Guinness World Record

Liter of Light is honored to have worked with the students of Deira International School and Universal American School of Dubai on their desire to take real, tangible action on climate change. Thank you for inspiring us with your leadership and partnering with us to share the gift of light 💡

This is the biggest climate action by youth, since COP28!

When we talk about changing the world, it’s often adults who are in the spotlight.

But guess what? A group of enthusiastic students and some big-hearted organisations are changing the game in a huge way. Al-Futtaim Education Foundation, Al-Futtaim Group and the ‘Liter of Light’ project have joined forces, showing everyone that each person, no matter wha to make a big difference.

The project has a brilliant idea: use solar power and recycled bottles to bring light to villages where electricity is scarce or non-existent. This initiative, unparalleled since COP28 in Dubai, brings together the innovative minds of our students and the relentless efforts of global organisations.
