MyShelter Foundation, Inc. launched the Lights for All Project on April 10, 2017 at Taguig National High School, Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City. The project, funded by the United States government, is in partnership with MyShelter Foundation, Inc. through its Liter of Light Project. The U.S. Embassy’s English Access Microscholarship Scholars and Alumni from Taguig National High School and Signal Village National High School , Taguig City gathered to assemble 100 solar-powered lamps for distribution to an indigenous community with zero access to electricity. The Lights for All Project funds the fabrication of a total of 1,100 solar-powered lamps that will be donated to communities and homes without access to electricity throughout the Philippines, especially those that are disaster-prone or conflict-affected. The project will also light up a community baseball field in Upi, Maguindanao. A million thanks to our volunteers: Civil Military Operations Group-Philippine Navy, De La Salle University Mechanical Engineering Society, MES, Ateneo Environmental Science Society, City Of Malabon Polytechnic Institute, BACLARAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CENTRAL and Lizzy Fabro Burden.
