Last December 6, the Philippines showcased how it pioneered the biggest grassroots solar lighting campaign to the world.
MyShelter Foundation’s Executive Director, Illac Diaz, flew to Durban, South Africa for the United Nations Forum on Climate Change to present the story of the Liter of Light program in the Philippines. He was joined by Mr. Demitrio Bukas, who proudly talked about how he was able to light up 8,000 homes in San Pedro Laguna.
UN Chief Ban Ki-Moon and several world leaders were present in the conference.
